SPIRULINA SUPERFOOD

WHAT’S IN SPIRULINA?

Well, to begin, spirulina is nature’s highest natural source of protein. Spirulina protein is about 70% to 80%; it has 3 to 4 times more protein than an equal serving of beef or any other animal product. Not only does it contain a lot more protein, but also—because it’s a single-celled micro-plant—the protein is much easier to assimilate than animal meat protein.  Considering that animal-based diets are now directly linked to heart attacks, stroke, cancer and hundreds of other diseases—not to mention environmental pollution and massive water waste—this is a spirulina protein wonderful alternative.

Spirulina health benefits go beyond protein; spirulina is one of the richest nutritionally dense plants on the planet.  Spirulina nutrition makes it one of the richest sources of natural Vitamin-A beta-carotene and is also a very high source of all the non-recognized carotenoids. Just the spirulina ingredient in SuperFood Plus gives you 100% of all the Vitamin-A beta-carotene you need for the entire day.  This is why I originally included it in my clinical super food formula, because of beta-carotene’s cancer protective and preventative ability.  As I mentioned,  it  also  contains  many other  very  important  carotenoids not  found  in  vitamin  and  mineral pills  such  as  beta-carotene  9-cis, beta-carotene  13-cis,  beta-carotene 15-cis,  B-cryptoanthin  plus echinenone,  chlorophyll, phycocyanin  and C-phycocyanin.

Considering the industry standard for Vitamin-A is toxic fish liver oil, spirulina seems like a much better source to me. First, a fish liver is where all of the fish’s detoxification and blood-filtering goes on, so it is naturally loaded and concentrated with pollutants and heavy metals. Heck, even half of all fresh fish sold in markets throughout the US has toxic levels of mercury in it.
Secondly, the thought of running fish livers through my juicer to extract the oil just sounds plain disgusting. The bottom line is fish liver oil is toxic, and it is not food fit for humans. It may be high in vitamins, but so is horseshit.

Spirulina nutrition includes being an extremely rich source of your energy vitamin, Vitamin-B12. Just the spirulina in only one dose of SuperFood Plus gives you well over 200% of all the Vitamin-B12 you need for the whole day, plus all of the other B vitamins and B-complex nutrients.

All algae are rich sources of minerals and spirulina is no exception.  It contains boron, calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, molybdenum, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, sodium, and zinc.
It is an extremely rich source of SOD (Super Oxide Dismutase) with a very high antioxidant enzyme activity.  It is also very rich in Heart Protective Essential Fatty Acids like Omega 6 Gamma Linolenic (GLA) and Linoleic, plus palmitic, oleic, palmitoleic, stearic, eicosatrienoic, myristic, margaric, margaroleic, myristoleic, eicosadienoic and arachidonic.

Finally, because it is the highest source of protein known, it is extremely rich in Amino Acids and is a complete protein containing all nine essential amino acids and dozens of others.
